Botox

Botox is an injectable neuromodulator treatment made of onabotulinumtoxinA to treat facial wrinkles, frown lines on your forehead, and crow’s feet. Botox is injected directly into a muscle beneath the skin in very small amounts. The treatment affects the nerves that control muscle movement, which relaxes the muscle to the point of immobility, allowing the overlying wrinkled skin to soften and smooth out. The result is a more youthful appearance, which normally lasts about three months. Botox can treat wrinkles, crow’s feet, frown lines, excessive sweating, aging skin, muscle spasms, migraines, and more. During treatment, most patients report minimal pain, if any at all. However, for patients with an extreme aversion to needles can have a topical anesthetic or an ice pack applied beforehand to reduce the pain or discomfort even further.

Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are injected just under the surface of the skin to enhance the appearance of your face. These injectable fillers are made up of biosynthetic or natural materials that help fill in certain areas beneath the skin. These fillers include Juvederm, Restylane, Restylane Silk, Perlane, Belotero, and more. Depending on your unique needs and your problem areas, one or more of these types of fillers may be right for you. The procedure is minimally invasive – there’s no cutting or pulling as with surgery – and very little or no pain. Cosmetic fillers restore volume and fullness to your face by diminishing acne scars, frown lines between your eyes, and the smile lines around your nose and mouth. They also plump thin lips, soften wrinkles or facial creases, enhance shallow lines, and improve the appearance of old or recessed scars.

IPL

Treatment with intense pulsed light restores your glowing, radiant skin by treating sun damage, age spots brown spots, enlarged pores, spider veins, redness or flushing, freckles, fine lines, and wrinkles. IPL treatment uses a machine gently shooting pulses of intense broadband light into your skin during a process that takes five to 30 minutes depending on the area(s) being treated. During spider vein treatment, the light is absorbed into your blood, causing your veins to shrink and, after one to several treatments, eventually disappear. Your skin is left clear and refreshed, with no trace of unsightly veins. IPL treatment is simple, non-invasive, cooling, not messy, and only mildly uncomfortable, if at all. One to 2 treatment sessions are recommended at three-to-four week intervals followed by treatments every six months to both maintain and continue improving your appearance. Think of it like you would a “teeth cleaning.”

Kybella

Kybella is a unique, FDA-approved, profile-enhancing injectable product that destroys fat cells under the chin to reduce sagging skin or a double chin. The main ingredient in Kybella is a synthetic form of deoxycholic acid, which your body naturally makes to aid in breaking down and absorbing fats. Once injected into your body, the acid destroys fat cells where it is injected. What makes Kybella treatment unique is that once the fat cells are destroyed, fat can no longer be accrued or stored by those cells. Kybella injections are administered into the skin directly under your chin. For best results, a series of four to six sessions every four weeks is strongly recommended, although this is subject to a variety of factors. The number of injections in one session also depends on several factors, with your dermatologist determining the correct amount for your unique needs.

Skincare

Non-invasive, professional skin care treatments can do wonders for rejuvenating your skin and undoing damage caused by age, stress, and other natural factors. Specialists can spot what your skin needs to be healthy, then deliver the treatments you need. Chemical peels apply a chemical solution to your skin, allowing it to peel away and reveal smoother skin, to reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, acne, or age spots to improving skin texture and controlling oily skin. Microdermabrasion is a not-too-aggressive exfoliation technique that removes damaged skin cells by applying a crystalline spray to the body for healthy, glowing skin with refined texture. DermaSweep® is another noninvasive treatment for lines, texture, photodamage, dull skin, and more. Extraction treatments are used to unclog pores and remove stubborn blackheads by cleaning out the excess oil and skin cells.

Vbeam

Vbeam and Cynergy pulsed dye laser is a state-of-the-art versatile non-ablative treatment that delivers the safe, effective treatment for scars, fine lines, wrinkles, leg veins, rosacea, warts, birthmarks, and more. VBeam and Cynergy is an intense but gentle beam of laser light at the optimal frequency absorbed by blood vessels into your skin. The light is absorbed by blood vessels, not by your skin, which is untouched and undamaged. The dilated blood vessels are destroyed by the pulses of laser energy. The end result is less scarring and bruising than you get with other laser treatments. The treatment also helps to stimulate the production of new collagen in your skin, which can help in the skin’s natural healing process as well to decreasing the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

Vein Treatments

Varicose veins, large, swollen blood vessels that are typically found only in your legs, and spider veins, blue, red, or purple blood vessels that twist and turn crookedly just beneath your skin surface, can be caused by obesity, genetic disposition, trauma, and hormonal changes. However, effective treatments are available. Minimally invasive laser vein treatment eliminates stubborn varicose veins in your calf, thigh, and knee without surgery. Sclerotherapy is the most common leg treatment, especially for both spider veins and small varicose veins, which involves injecting a sclerosing agent into the targeted vessel that hardens the vein until it collapses, after which the body naturally eliminates the remains. Phlebectomy/microphlebectomy, is a minimally invasive vein treatment especially effective for varicose veins that are too large for effective treatment via sclerotherapy. During this treatment, the targeted veins are removed through tiny incisions under local anesthesia. There is no downtime, so you can right back to your regularly scheduled day.
